The Law Office of Steven O'Donnell in Lancaster, Pennsylvania protects ideas with patents, copyrights and trademarks.

Lawyer Steve O'Donnell, Ph.DI protect ideas. My practice in Lancaster, Pennsylvania focuses on helping clients protect their intellectual property through the use of patents, copyrights and trademarks. The three C's of my practice are "Create, Consult and Control."  That is advice that every business person needs to heed.

I am a graduate of Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before going to law school, I received my undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Pennsylvania State University Hershey School of Medicine for my project “The Response and Potential Roles of Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 and IGF Binding Protein-2 in Murine Cerebral Ischemia.”

I am admitted to the bars of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and I was selected as one of Philadelphia Magazine's Rising Star Lawyers in 2009.

Before opening my firm I practiced mainly class action antitrust litigation, focusing on antitrust violations of patent owners. I use that experience to counsel my clients on how to avoid challenges to their intellectual property rights, and if needed, to work with a litigation team to defend those rights or to challenge others.

I live in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with my wife, our two daughters, and four cats.
